Misc. (Miscellaneous) Items are a library of intelligent cells. Based on a standard MicroStation cell, they have been modified to allow them to associate to the terrain.

As all Misc. Item are optionally placed associated to the terrain model or site pad, elevation above the surface can be specified. This option allows the placement of plant equipment quickly and easily by just placing them at ground level by setting the Offset from the surface to 0.

Supplied by default are a sample Reclaimer, Stacker, Train, and Truck.

Tagging Properties

The Place Horizontal Gravity Take-up dialog allows the naming of the Take-up. By default a name is generated but can be overwritten with any naming convention. Descriptions can also be entered.

Misc Items Workflow

1. Select the required Misc. Item tool.
2. Specify a data point on the terrain model or existing site pad to define the placement point of the equipment. Using a plan view ensures accurate placement.
3. Specify the orientation of the equipment by dynamically entering a data point.
4. Reset to complete.
